Los Angeles-based Steelhouse , the behavioral targeting firm backed by Ron Conway and Geocities' founder David Bohnett, said Tuesday that Cooking.com has been using the firm's technology to ramp sales of its online site. SteelHouse is headed by Mark Douglas, the former VP of Technology at eHarmony and VP of Engineering at Rubicon Project.

Los Angeles-based Clean Green Guy , which operates an online marketplace for green and clean business and technology deals, announced today that it has hired Stanley Holt as the firm's new President and COO. Holt was most recently at eHarmony, and also has served at such firms as Internet Brands, The Los Angeles Times, and Lot 11 Studios.

Great Podcast - Failed Startup

It's funny to hear Betsy describe it as dating for product placement. Because of our work on eHarmony, we often find matching as a core component of systems. Interesting to hear Betsy say that the technology was not differentiated. Still I think the concept is fantastic if the model can be figured out to make it work.
