I paid up for the diploma but can’t say that I saw better results. So back to MBAs.

This probably seems obvious to military types, but I see entrepreneurs violating this rule all the time. They approach key potential investors way too early, trying to talk their way up the hill, with no supporting business plan, and before they have a support team around them. Don’t try to talk and demo your way up the hill.

Customer service has always been reactionary, meaning someone to wake up and answer website email requests. Great startups are getting ahead of the game with “anticipatory customer service,” like providing smart phone access to product and account data to head off complaints. Respect your customer’s view of usability.
