THQ Drastically Lowers Sales Guidance

Agoura Hills-based videogame maker THQ has drastically lowered its sales guidance, saying early this morning that it has updated fiscal guidance for its fiscal first quarter ending June 30th and fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, due to "lower than anticipated sales" of its title UFC Undisputed 2010, plus a strengthening US dollar.

Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Acquired For $25M

Somaxon had 12 months net sales of approximately $11.7M The company has been looking for a buyer since December of 2011, when it drastically cut its staff and said it had hired an investment banker. According to the two companies, Pernix will acquire Somaxon in a stock-for-stock transaction worth a total of $25M in total equity.
