Seed investments are down by any measure (funds, deals, dollars) over the past 3 years in deals < $1 million AND in deals between $1–5 million. As you can see below the number of seed funds shot up dramatically between 2006 and 2014. thus the rise of “pre seed” investing). What gives?

Miven Venture Partners Gets IPO Exit At A10 Networks

Newport Beach-based Miven Venture Partners , the private investment arm of Linksys founder Victor Tsao, has scored an exit in one of its portfolio companies, A10 Networks , after that company''s successful IPO this morning. Miven had invested in A10 Networks way back in 2006, as part of a Series B funding round for the company.
