I had been trading emails & Tweets with venture capitalist John Frankel and we were to meet in person in March 2011 at SxSW to talk about Klout and other investments he had made. John laid into a well-honed thesis on why the social web needed a “Page Rank” equivalent for people. 500px is in Toronto.

What I want to answer with this post (long though it may be) is: Why did Web 2.0 We had email, instant messaging, group calendars, discussion boards, etc. They had a proprietary browser, their own search engine, their own content, chat rooms, email system, etc. Social Networking in Web 1.0: It isn’t new stuff.

We've now been operating for five months, and have become the leading web service for mobile fundraising in the country. It's a simple web service, where a customer can log in and can simply create and deploy any level of mobile donation or messaging campaign. It was founded three years ago, and hadn't been succeeding.
