CalTech MIT Enterprise Forum – Great events on various topics – there's one this Saturday that would be great to go to. Southern California Tech Central – Brings together posts from top bloggers around Southern California including John's blog and this blog. They put on great events. AITP-LA – Monthly events.
Is it because of the rich engineering talent coming out of Caltech, UCLA, USC, Harvey Mudd, and all the other universities? And if you spend much time in LA, you’ll quickly realize that we’re in a groundswell of space and defense startups. Recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Ian on This Week in Startups.
In his blog he says, “I responded that I thought it was stupid. World-class education including Caltech, USC and UCLA. So his Twitter handle is @infoarbitrage and his excellent (must read) blog is Information Arbitrage. When I chose a name for my blog, I spent days thinking through what I wanted to represent.

The spark for this post is that I'm going to go to Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum on Saturday. I did a quick search and didn't find many blog posts mentioning that specific event. I've presented there before and it's a good group. But there's no attendee list in site. I can't find them listed on any kind of social site.
It's like WordPress, but instead of blogging, it provides an online community, which is self-hosted. I was really into graphic design in high school, and took several summer workshops at Caltech. Early on in college, we built a product called Blog Hoster, which allowed you to create white label blogs.
