To this day I’m astounded that IBM, Google, Sun, Microsoft and others didn’t offer this service and Amazon did. First, how did I handle things like unexpected surges in traffic to my site (let’s say after a major press release) and then the subsequent flattening of traffic as the crowd subsided? Work it did.
