I just completed an exercise where I went out to hire a new associate for my VC firm, GRP Partners. I took an advanced computer course in high school where I learned to build databases in Ashton Tate’s dBase III+ and to compile my designs using a product called Clipper. I had to laugh a bit reading it.

My personal favorite and best fit for GRP Partners was Thumbtack. They walked through 4 minutes of PowerPoint garble (of a 5 minute pitch) before unveiling a beautifully designed UI.
