The startup--led by CEO Joe Ward--says it has created a new augmented reality technology it says will enable "immersive free-standing holograms" generated from a user's smartphone. The source of the seed funding round was not announced.

Inhibrx Files For IPO

La Jolla-based biopharmaceuticals startup Inhibrx has just filed for an IPO, saying in an S-1 filing that it is looking to raise up to $74.75M in an IPO on the Nasdaq Global Market. Inhibrx has applied to trade as INBX. The IPO is being underwritten by Evercore ISI, Barclays, Nomura, and Raymond James. Inhibrx is backed by LAV Biosciences Fund and Viking Global Investors.

GeoLinks Wins $87.8M Contract Award For Rural Internet Rollout

Camarillo-based wireless Internet services provider GeoLinks has scored a big, $87.8M contract, to provide rural, Internet services across more than 11,000 locations in California and Nevada, the company announced this morning. According to GeoLinks, the contract award came from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), which manages the broadband connectivity fund collected from telephone bills.

Inseego Rolls Out New MiFi Hotspot For Sprint

San Diego-based Inseego , the developer of the popular MiFi mobile hotspot devices, has gotten back on track with its release of a new hotspot for Sprint. According to Inseego, its new MiFi 8000 Mobile Hotspot will roll out beginning June 14th to Sprint customers, to provide gigabit-speed performance and enterprise security features. Inseego said the new device supports Gigabit LTE speeds, which it says "vasty outperforms" its earlier 4G devices.

In an indication of strong demand, CrowdStrike , the cybersecurity software developer which was founded in Orange County, has bumped its IPO pricing range to between $23.00 and $30.00 per share. The pricing is a big bump from an earlier, $19.00 to $23.00 per share the company set last week. CrowdStrike has applied to list as CRWD on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. The IPO is being underwritten by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P.

According to Semtech, it has launched a new AVX chipset series, which is used to transmit uncompressed-quality, 4K-video, multi-channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and other control signals over cat-x or fiber cabling. The new chipsets are aimed at being used in AV equipment and remote displays.
