Monrovia, California-based Xencor , a biopharmaceutical company which develops engineered monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disease, says it is extending a license for its technology to Vir Biotechnology , in use in developing antibodies to treat COVID-19, the disease cased by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Monrovia, California-based biotherapeutics technology developer Xencor said Tuesday that it has licensed its Xtend technology to an Australian firm. Xencor and CSL Limited said they are in a technology license agreement, which will provide CSL access ot its technology, for use with CSL''s monoclonal antibodies.

The company said it has developed "covert" item-level supply chain tagging technology, which places tracking information into the "intrinsic surface texture" of the item. Size of the funding was not announced.
