CyberDefender Open New LA Call Center

Los Angeles-based CyberDefender , the Internet security software provider run by Gary Guseinov, announced Thursday that it has opened up a new, 220-seat call center in its Los Angeles headquarters. CyberDefender said its center is currently handling as many as 40,000 calls per week, for sales, technical support, and customer service.

CyberDefender Files For Chapter 11, Agrees To Sell To GR Match

Los Angeles-based CyberDefender , the troubled developer of Internet security software and provider of remote technical support services, said today that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and has agreed to be sold to GR Match, LLC, an affiliate of Guthy-Renker LLC, its largest shareholder.

Los Angeles-based CyberDefender , the developer of Internet security software and remote technical support, said Tuesday that Chairman and CEO Gary Guseinov has resigned. Reason for the resignation was not disclosed, however, the firm said it has implemented a "strategic plan" to achieve profitability at the publicly held firm.
