Los Angeles-based FamilyFinds.com , the daily coupon and deals site run by Matt Coffin, said today that it has acquired Mamaloot , an online daily deal site located in Chicago. Mamaloot was started by two mothers, Bo Johnson and Lindsay Cohen, who met while working at Orbitz.

Stickam Shuts Down

Reason for the shutdown was not disclosed. Last August, the company had announced a VIP membership program, which charged users $39.99

eHarmony To Launch Same-Sex Matching Service

Pasadena-based online dating provider eHarmony said Wednesday afternoon that it will launch a same-sex matching service, called Compatible Partners, as a result of a lawsuit filed against the firm by the state of New Jersey. eHarmony had faced scrutiny and criticism for refusing to accept gay members to its computerized matching site.

Hulu Goes Bollywood

Online video service Hulu has started carrying Bollywood movies, and has signed digital distributor Saavn to show a number of Bollywood films from India. According to Saavn, it will offer five titles from India, including "Sarkar", a 2005 version of "The Godfather." All five titles are currently available on the Hulu site.
