Local.com Buys Web Hosting Customers

Local.com said those web hosting customers pay approximately $35 per month for web hosting services, provided by a third party. ISSQUARED said the acquisition is its very first since being founded in 2010. Bala Ramaiah is CEO of ISSQUARED; Steve Marks was CEO of Starnet.

The Mobile Majority Buys Qualcomm Spinoff Gimbal

Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Gimbal's technology was used by brands, retailers, advertisers, venues, and out-of-home (OOH) networks to understand the movement of their customers. Accordent Acquired By Polycom

Polycom said it will use the acquisition to enhance its offerings. Polycom said Accordent had $9M in revenues in 2010, and has over 1,200 customers. The deal was worth $50M in cash. Accordent provides products for streaming live webcasts, webcasting meetings and classes, and similar enterprise video streaming applications.
