RealD Hits 15,000 Screens

Los Angeles-based RealD , the developer of 3D movie projection technology, reported today that it has now surpassed 15,000 installs of its 3D Cinema System at motion picture theaters worldwide. The installations included 8,600 domestic screens, and 6,500 international screens.

Los Angeles-based RealD , the developer of 3D movie projection technology, reported this morning that it has surpassed 20,000 3D-equipped screens worldwide. The firm said it is now the "most widely used" 3D cinema technology provider. RealD said it had approximately 20,200 screens installed as of its quarter ended March 23rd.
