But I'm a bit surprised that they decided to use a folder metaphor as opposed to tags. Yes, there are a large number of people who really don't quite get tags, but you can always show them a folder view on top of tags. Allow tagging and treat tags a bit like folders in the interface. This is how Google does things.

I’ve had a long-standing rule of thumb in product design, which I call “design for the novice, configure for the pro.&# I started saying this back in 2001/02, long before the era of Web 2.0, My philosophy emanated from my days of programming and later designing corporate software in the early 1990′s.

Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor developer Semtech says it has scored a design win with in a "smart agriculture" application, with its LoRa wireless RF technology.
