Nomadix Settles Patent Suit Against Aruba Networks

Agoura Hills-based wired and wireless gateway developer Nomadix said today that it has settled a patent infringement case it had filed against Aruba Networks. Nomadix said the settlement included a license to Aruba of its patent portfolio covering Internet access technology. Nomadix is a subsidiary of DOCOMO interTouch.

Goleta-based Transphorm , the developer of Gallium Nitride (GaN) power conversion technology, reports that it has scored two patents covering its technology. The first patent names James Honea and Yifeng Wu as inventors, and was initially filed in August of 2013. The second patent application was filed on May 3, 20`13.

San Diego-based Qualcomm announced this morning that it is in a patent licensing deal with Chinese company QiKu Internet Network Scientific (Shenzhen) Co., According to Qualcomm, the licensing deal allows QiKu to develop, manufacture and sell 3G WCDMA and CDMA2000, and 4G LTE subscriber units for use in China.
