According to the school, it will start by integrating Google Glass into the operating room and emergency department, starting with 10 pairs of Glass for its third and fourth year students. According to creativeLive , it has raised $8M in a funding round, which came from Creative Artists Agency (CAA), William Morris Endeavor (WME), CrunchFund and Google Ventures. Three, local Los Angeles organizations -- DIY Girls , LA Maker Space , and Teens Exploring Technology (TXT), have scored nonprofit funding from Google, as part of the 2016 Google RISE Awards , according to the groups. All three of the groups are helping to overcome the lack of computer science education in local, LA public schools.

UCSB said the new Terabit Optical Ethernet Center (TOEC) has partnered with Google, Verizon, Intel, Agilent Technologies and Rockwell Collins on the research effort, and will focus on developing a technology to enable 1 Terabit Ethernet over optical fiber network by 2025, and 100 Terabit Ethernet by 2020.
