For readers, LaunchpadLA is all about? We got over 400 applications for the ten slots we had open in this class, and we picked ten amazing companies. So far, eight of the ten companies in our current class have raised outside funding, and we're really happy with how it's gone so far. So when is the next class?

For people who haven't visited SciVee, what's the site about? One is software, which is very much like software-as-a-service, where we deliver that software to publications and conferences, to enable rich media on their sites. They got an NSF grant, and basically started up the original web site, as a video web site.

The original spark came, because my daughter, Naomi, who is six and was in first grade at the time, took a Lego Robotics class. That allows pre-readers to play, and also any kid in any part of the world can play the game, because there are no language issues.
